He served at McKinsey until 2006. He has conducted research papers on issues of corporate governance, shareholder value creation, and successful transformations of companies. He has transaction and private equity experience through his work for McKinsey clients on merger and acquisition and privatization issues, through his leadership of McKinsey private equity practice. Mr. Abravanel serves as a Director Emeritus of McKinsey & Company. He has been a Director of Banca Nazionale del Lavoro SpA since May 2009. He serves as a Director of Urban Aeronautics Ltd., COFIDE - Gruppo De Benedetti SpA and Coesia S.p.A. He has been an Independent Non-Executive Director at Admiral Group plc since March 6, 2012 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited since January 2007 and Independent Director at Luxottica Group SpA since June 14, 2006.
