Mr. John P. Davidson, III served as Managing Director and Chief Corporate Development Officer of CME Group Inc. since January 9, 2006 until March 13, 2008. Mr. Davidson served in a variety of leadership roles at CME after originally joining it in August 1983, both in trading operations and in the CME Clearing House. Mr. Davidson also held derivatives management roles at Merrill Lynch Futures, Inc. At CME, Mr. Davidson was instrumental in developing and implementing the CME(R) Globex(R) electronic trading platform, the SIMEX Mutual Offset System, the Standardized Portfolio Analysis of Risk (CME SPAN(R)) margining system, and the design of CME Clearing 21, now viewed as the premier clearing system in the world. Mr. Davidson serves as a Director of CLS Group Holdings AG. He served as a Director of The Options Clearing Corporation. Mr. Davidson earned an M.B.A. in Financial Management and International Business from the University of Chicago and graduated with highest distinction from the University of Illinois-Urbana with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.
