Mr. James Cameron, Jim serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at Multiverse Network Inc. Mr. Cameron served as a Director of RealD Inc. from July 21, 2010 to February 2013. After spending the early 1980s working in visual effects and production design, Mr. Cameron moved to directing with The Terminator in 1984. Mr. Cameron wrote and directed Aliens, released in 1986, and then wrote, directed and produced The Abyss (1989), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), True Lies ... (1994) and Titanic (1997). Titanic remains the highest grossing movie in history, with $1.8 billion in ticket sales, and is the recipient of 14 Academy Award nominations and the winner of 11 Oscars, the highest number ever in each case. In recent years, his desire to bring the experience of actually exploring the undersea shipwreck of the Titanic to audiences around the world motivated Mr. Cameron to turn to documentary filmmaking and the development of a 3D "Reality Camera System," which he co- developed with Sony. Mr. Cameron has been active in the science and technology of exploration, both in space and in the oceans. He is a co-investigator on the development of a stereo motion image camera for the Mars Science Lander, scheduled to explore the red planet in 2009. Mr. Cameron served for three years on the NASA Advisory Council and remains active in space policy. Mr. Cameron continues to develop new robotic and camera technology for exploration and filmmaking. He is a film director, producer, screenwriter, explorer and inventor. His award-winning writing and directing work includes Avatar, Titanic, Terminator, Aliens and The Abyss. Cameron spent years creating documentary films and co-developing the digital 3-D Fusion Camera System. Described as part-scientist and part-artist, Cameron has also contributed to the state of the art of underwater cinematography, NASA Mars missions and remotely piloted vehicle technologies. He serves as Member of Board of Trustees at The X PRIZE Foundation.
