Mr. Russell M. Artzt, Russ co- founded CA Inc.,(Formerly, Computer Associates International Inc.) in June 1976 and served as Vice Chairman since June 26, 2007. Mr. Artzt is instrumental in the evolution of CA's EITM vision. Mr. Artzt served as an Executive Vice President of Products of CA Inc., from January 25, 2005 to June 2007, where he managed all product business units at Computer Associates International Inc., with particular focus on the integration of Computer ... Associates' industry-leading management software portfolio and the evolution of its enterprise infrastructure management (EIM) strategy. Mr. Artzt served as an Executive Vice President of CA Inc., since April 1987. Mr. Artzt led CA's eTrust security brand, and was responsible for all aspects of CA's award-winning eTrust security product line. Mr. Artzt served as a Senior Development Officer of CA Inc., since 1976. Mr. Artzt served as an Executive Vice President-Alliances and eTrustTM Solutions from April 2002 to January 2004. He served as an Executive Vice President of Research and Development of CA Inc., from April 1987 to March 2002, where he was instrumental in building CA Inc.'s Research and Development and Field Services organizations. Mr. Artzt founded/sponsor of a research group at Mount Sinai Hospital involved in researching cures for liver diseases, is a major sponsor of the Juvenile Diabetes organization and is a major supporter of North Shore University Hospital. He has more than 30 years experience in the IT industry as a technology leader, consultant and executive. He is a recognized expert in software development and project management. Mr. Artzt has driven major communications, database, distributed processing, application development, storage and security management projects on heterogeneous platforms. He ran CA's BrightStor storage product line, successfully spearheading an organization model that unified development, support and marketing within a brand unit. Since March 2008, he was inducted into the Long Island Technology Hall of Fame. He serves as a Director of Softheon, Inc. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of Advanced Energy Research Group. He serves as the Chairperson of the Advisory Board of Center of Excellence in Wireless & Information Technology at State University of New York at Stony Brook. He serves as Director of Business Council of New York State Inc. He also served as Director of CA Inc., from November 1980 to June 2007. Mr. Artzt is active with many charitable organizations. He is a Member of the Queens College Foundation Board of Trustees. Mr. Artzt received a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from Queens College and a Master Degree in Computer Science from New York University.
