Since 1995, he served as the Head of the Magnetic Resonance Division. He served as Special Director of Siemens Ltd. from April 1, 2008 to December 19, 2008. Prof. Dr. Requardt held several leading positions within Magnetic-Resonance division before being served as President of the division since 1994. He served as Vice Chairman of Supervisory Board at BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH since April 30, 2008 until December 15, 2010. He has been a Member of Supervisory Board at Software AG since May 21, 2010. He served as Member of Supervisory Board at BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH from April 30, 2008 to October 31, 2011. He was a Honorary Professor at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany (Physics) since June 2006. He has published numerous articles and holds 13 International Patents related to coils. He is a Baccalaureate. Prof. Dr. Requardt finished his High school in Neu Isenburg in 1973 and studied Physics at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He completed his study in 1979 with a Diploma in Physics and a Magister Artium (MA) in Philosophy. In 1984, Prof. Dr. Requardt graduated in Biophysics from the University of Frankfurt.
