He also served as General Counsel of Continental's banking and pension subsidiaries and financial guaranty division. He began his insurance industry career at The Continental Corporation, where during almost ten years he led legal and business teams in the structuring and negotiation of stock and asset divestitures of various Continental insurance companies in the U.S. as well as in the U.K., Canada and Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Binghamton, a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
