She has worked in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining State Street she was global head of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce's Private Banking & Trust Operations. In that capacity she managed assets under management through a large Canadian domestic operation and 11 offshore locations around the globe. Ms. Watson has been Director of Citizens Financial Group, Inc., since November 22, 2010 and RBS Citizens, N.A., since November 2010. She has been a Director of Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania since 2010. She serves on a number of boards, including Canadian Medical Association Holdings Inc., DAS Legal Protection Insurance Inc. and expert advisory board of McGill University School of Management. She is also a member of Women Corporate Directors, the National Association of Corporate Directors and the Women's Bond Club of New York. Ms. Watson graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting and Law) from McGill University and is also a Certified General Accountant and certified fraud examiner.
