Dr. Tillman E. Pearce, M.D., has been the Chief Medical Officer at Threshold Pharmaceuticals Inc since February 17, 2012. Dr. Pearce oversees the development of Threshold's TH-302, a clinical stage hypoxia-targeted cancer therapeutic being evaluated in a variety of cancers, including a Phase 3 trial in patients with soft tissue sarcoma and a Phase 2b trial in patients with pancreatic cancer. He came to KaloBios from Protein Design Labs in Paris, France, where he held the position Senior Director, Clinical Research and directed their European office. From 1997 to 2002, he served as Medical Director at Sanofi Synthelabo, S.A, in its Oncology Business Unit, during the international launch of Eloxatin for the treatment of colorectal cancer, and he established and directed PDL BioPharma France, which was responsible for PDL's clinical activities throughout Europe. Prior to that, Dr. Pearce served as Director, Clinical Research at Sandoz\Novartis Pharma AG, where he worked on Phase 1-3 studies of PSC833 in hematologic malignancies and solid tumor indications. Dr. Pearce received his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and is board-certified in both internal medicine and hematology.
