Prior to February 15, 2001, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Corporate Officer of Four Seasons Hotels Inc. Since joining Four Seasons and Resorts in 1989 as Corporate Counsel, Ms. Taylor has played a key role in its growth and success, including the expansion of its portfolio to the present 83 properties in 35 countries, and an additional 40 hotels and resorts now under construction and development around the world. Prior to November 1, 1999, she served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development and General Counsel at Four Seasons Hotels Inc. and prior to April 1998, she also held a number of Senior Executive positions. Ms. Taylor has been an Independent Director of Royal Bank of Canada since November 20, 2001. She has been a Member of the Board of Directors of RBC Financial Group of Liberty Life Insurance Company since 2001. She served as a Director of The T. Eaton Company Limited ("Eaton's"). She is a Member of the World Travel and Tourism Council and IREFAC. She is a Member of the Cabinet of the Toronto United Way and the chair of its Endowment Giving. She is a Member of the board of The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation in Toronto. She has been Director of SickKids Foundation since May 2004. Her business achievements have been recognized in recent years with the Schulich Award for Outstanding Executive Leadership in 2001, the IREFAC (Industry Real Estate Financing Advisory Council of the American Hotel and Lodging Association) Chairman's Award in 2003, and the CGCA (Canadian General Counsel Awards) Award for Business Achievement in 2006. She received Marketing Hall of Legends Builder Award, in 2009, and Forbes "25 Most Influential Women in Travel," in 2008. Ms. Taylor has a Master of Business Administration degree from Schulich School of Business in 1984; a LL B from Osgoode Hall Law School and Bachelor of Arts in political science from University of Toronto, 1980.
