Mr. Joseph G. NeCastro has been the Chief Administrative Officer of Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc. since February 2010 and as its Chief Financial Officer since July 2008 and serves as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. NeCastro joined Scripps in May 2002 and served as its Executive Vice President since July 2008. He was instrumental in the execution of Penton's spin-off and initial stock offering, as well as more than 20 acquisitions. He led a series of financing transactions to support Penton's expansion efforts. He served five years for Reader's Digest, starting in 1993 as Director of Finance and Operations for Reader's Digest's magazine group. He served as Vice President of Finance for Reader's Digest USA from 1995 to 1998 and Corporate Controller from 1994 to 1995. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Reader's Digest's US operating unit. He served as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Vice President/Corporate Controller at Reader's Digest. Mr. NeCastro joined Reader's Digest after working at US News & World Report for six years, first as Director of Finance from 1987 to 1990 and then as Vice President and Treasurer from 1990 to 1993. While at MCI Communications, he served as Manager of Financial Analysis and Budgets from 1983 to 1984 and as Senior Manager of Business Planning and Development from 1985 to 1987. He is a certified Public Accountant. Mr. NeCastro has a Master's degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA.
