He serves on a number of board affiliations including the president's leadership council of Save the Bay, the governing boards of Crossroads Rhode Island and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, and the board of directors for the Rhode Island Commodores. He joined Johnson & Wales University in 1974 as a Faculty Member. His community involvement and passion for education have led to numerous recognitions and honors including the David E. Sweet Award from Leadership Rhode Island, the Governor’s Award for Service to Rhode Island, and the Business Leadership Award from Providence Business News. He is a dedicated Community Leader. Mr. Bowen is a Johnson & Wales graduate.
