He is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Center for Globalization at Yale University. Dr. Yergin received the Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction for his work The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money and Power, which became a #1 national best seller and was made into an eight-hour PBS/BBC series seen by 20 million people in the United States. The book has been translated into 12 languages. His latest book, The Commanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy Russia 2010, with CERA President Joseph Stanislaw, has received wide attention for its analysis and narrative of how the “world is changing its mind about markets and government.“ As Executive Producer, Dr. Yergin led the team that turned it into a six-hour PBS/BBC documentary. it received three Emmy nominations, a CINE Golden Eagle award, and the New York Festivals Gold WorldMedal for best documentary. The series website won a BAFTA as a “milestone in the development of broadband content. In 2011, the Alliance to Save Energy honored him as “Star of Energy Efficiency”.
