Mr. Jeffrey W. Clarke, Jeff serves as Vice Chairman and President of Global Operations & End User Computing Solutions at Dell Inc. Mr. Clarke is responsible for global manufacturing, procurement and supply chain activities worldwide, as well as the engineering, design and development of computer desktops, notebooks and workstations for customers ranging from consumers and small and medium businesses to large corporate enterprises. He served as Vice Chairman of Operations ... & Technology at Dell Inc.(Formerly Dell Computer Corp) and its Senior Vice President of Business Product Group from January 2003 to January 2009 also its Vice Chairman of Operations & Technology since January 2009. He was responsible for design, development, quality-control, engineering and marketing for all of Dell’s products, including desktops, notebooks, workstations, networking products, servers, storage and peripherals. He joined Dell in 1987 as a Quality Engineer and has served in a variety of engineering and management roles. He moved into product development in 1989. He served as Director of desktop development at Dell since 1995 and also served as its Vice President and General Manager of Relationship Product Group. In 1997, he was responsible for launching the Dell Precision Workstation product line. He served as Vice President and General Manager of Relationship Product Group, including the OptiPlex, Latitude and Precision lines of business. Under his leadership, all three businesses achieved No. 1 worldwide share positions. Prior to Dell, he was a reliability and product engineer at Motorola, Inc. He serves as a Director of US-China Business Council, Inc. He served as a Director of CRS Electronics Inc. until May 20, 2009. He sits on the College of Engineering Advisory Council for his alma mater. Mr. Clarke received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
