In 1999, while Mr. Campbell was chairman of Sunoco, it won the prestigious "Board Excellence Award" from Wharton/Spencer Stuart. In 2001, Mr. Campbell was named one of "Corporate America's Outstanding Directors" by the editors of "Corporate Alert." In addition, he was invited to testify as an expert on corporate governance issues in May 2002 before the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations in the Enron/Arthur Andersen hearings. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, where he graduated with honors in 1959, and a 1961 Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. In 1977, Mr. Campbell attended the Sloan Fellows program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he earned a Master's Degree in Management.
