Mr. Gabriel Hawawini has been the Henry Grunfeld Professor of Investment Banking of INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France since 1996. Mr. Hawawini served as Dean of INSEAD. Before joining INSEAD, he taught at New York University and Columbia University from 1974 to 1982. He served as Dean of the schools development campaign from 1998 to 2000 and a Dean of the Doctoral Program from 1998 to 1999, Director of the Euro-Asia Centre from 1988 to 1994, Yamaichi Professorship in Finance ... from 1989 to 1994, and the coordination of the Finance Area from 1985 to 1987. He serves as Chairman of the EQUIS Accreditation Awarding Body. Mr. Hawawini served as Vice Chairman of the French Finance Association from 1984 to 1986. He has been a Director of S&B Industrial Minerals SA since 2011. He serves as Member of Supervisory Board of Vivendi Universal Publishing S.A. He has been a Director of Remy Cointreau since July 2006. He served as Member of the Supervisory Board of Remy Cointreau. He served as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Vivendi from April 28, 2005 to April 29, 2010 and served as its Independent Director since May 2003 until 2010. He served as a Member of Governing Board of Indian School of Business. He served as a Director of Cerestar SA. He served on editorial committees for several university publications. Mr. Hawawini is the author of twelve books, and over seventy research publications about management based on value creation, risk appraisal, asset valuation, portfolio management and the structure of financial markets. Among other publications, he is the author of Mergers and Acquisitions in the US Banking Industry published by North Holland in 1991, and Finance for Executives: Managing for Value Creation (South Western Publishing, 2002). He has advised many private companies on the implementation of management systems based on value creation. He studied Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at the University of Toulouse, France, also holding a Chem. Eng. Diploma from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Toulouse. He also studied Business Administration at the New York University, where he also got his Ph.D. in Finance and Economics from in 1977.
