Mr. Anthony T. Ponturo, Tony served as Vice President of Global Media and Sports Marketing of Anheuser-Busch Incorporated, a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc., from 1998 to December 30, 2008. From 1991 to 2008, Mr. Ponturo served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Busch Media Group. Mr. Ponturo joined Anheuser-Busch as Director of media services in 1982 and was named Vice President of the Media and Sports Marketing Division in 1990, with global ... responsibilities added in 1998. His responsibilities range from directing the media planning and buying functions domestically and internationally for the Anheuser-Busch's beer brands, as well as for subsidiaries including Busch Gardens and SeaWorld, to overseeing sports marketing and sports production operations. Mr. Ponturo has a broad background in media planning and buying with previous experience at BBDO, McCann-Erickson and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles/New York. Mr. Ponturo has been a Director of AVP Inc. (Formerly AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour, Inc.) since June 2009. He serves as a Trustee of American Film Institute. He serves as a Board Member of New York City Center, Sheldon Hall, Channel 9 (PBS) and Opera Theater in St. Louis. He was ranked this year as No. 14 among Business Week’s list of the 100 most prominent sports executives. Mr. Ponturo graduated from Villanova University in Philadelphia with a BA in Economics.
