Dr. John William Snow, Ph.D. has been the President of JWS Associates, LLC since October 2006. Dr. Snow has been a Consultant of the Board at Fosun International Ltd since 2010. As the Secretary of the Treasury from February 2003 to June 2006, Dr. Snow served as the head of President Bush's economic policy team and principal spokesman on economic policy. Dr. Snow served as the President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at CSX Corporation and successfully guided ... the transportation company through a period of tremendous change. During his 20 years at CSX, Dr. Snow led it to refocus on its core railroad business, dramatically reduce injuries and train accidents, and improve its financial performance. He served with the Secretary of the Treasury at U.S. Treasury Department. He served as Secretary of United States Department of The Treasury from January 30, 2003 to June 29, 2006. He served at Federated Equity Funds - Federated Prudent Bear Fund. Dr. Snow has also served in several senior roles at the U.S. Department of Transportation and has served as chairman of the Business Roundtable, a group of chief executive officers of major U.S. corporations formed to promote pro-business public policy. As a Secretary of the Treasury, he worked closely with President Bush to strengthen economic growth and create jobs. His previous public service includes having served at the Department of Transportation as an Administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Deputy Undersecretary, Assistant Secretary for the Governmental Affairs, and a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy, Plans, and International Affairs. He is also recognized as a leading champion of improved corporate governance practices. Dr. Snow served as a Treasurer and Trustee at Johns Hopkins University until November 2006.
