Mr. Peter D. Albert has been Vice President of Operations for Qualys, Inc. since April 14, 2011. With more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Albert is responsible for managing global operations and expansion of the QualysGuard global SaaS infrastructure, overseeing its worldwide security operation centers (SOCs). Mr. Albert served as Vice President of Network Operations and Engineering at iPass. From November 1999 to August 2010, Mr. Albert held various positions at iPass. ... He successfully grew and managed an international team of 200 engineers and operations personnel, managed enterprise security, and built a world-class network with 10 international data centers and endpoints in over 160 countries. At iPass, Mr. Albert also built a new engineering team to work on a project that ultimately became the company's flagship product, the iPass Open Mobile Platform – a cloud-based service helping enterprises efficiently manage mobility devices and services for employees. Prior to iPass, Mr. Albert was the Operations Architect for General Magic on one of the first true SaaS implementations, the Portico service, which provided a virtual assistant and unified communications for the mobile professional. Having grown up in Silicon Valley, Mr. Albert joined his first start-up as managing databases, and cofounded Opus Software, a successful gaming company producing software bundled with hardware for MacIntosh computers. Mr. Albert holds an Associate of Science degree from West Valley College.
