Mr. Kimsey is the Chairman of the Washington National Opera. Mr. Kimsey serves as Chairman Emeritus of Refugees International (RI. He served as the Chairman of RI until October 2004. Mr. Kimsey joined RI's Board in 1996 and became the Chairman in 1999. During his five-year tenure, he visited Bosnia, Timbuktu, and Cambodia to assess refugee repatriation, land mine removal, and other human rights concerns. Mr. Kimsey was a Director of Capital One Financial Corp. since February 28, 1995. He has been an Independent Director of Jer Investors Trust Inc. since June 2004. Mr. Kimsey also served as a Director of Time Warner Inc. In 1994, he was named Business Leader of the Year by Washingtonian magazine. Mr. Kimsey graduated from the West Point Academy in 1962.
