Dr. Rioux served as Vice President of Medical Affairs of Repligen Corp. Dr. Rioux was formerly based in Paris as the Medical Director of Europe for Biogen, where he was responsible for overseeing the Phase 1 through Phase 4 clinical development and registration of Avonex(R), a breakthrough treatment for multiple sclerosis. Dr. Rioux also served as the Clinical Director of Variagenics, Director of Clinical Affairs for Arrow International and the Associate General Director and Medical Director for GRP where he consulted for Glaxo, SmithKline Beecham, Pfizer, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Eli Lilly. Dr. Rioux has direct clinical experience developing drugs and biological products in numerous clinical indications including multiple sclerosis, auto-immune disease, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. Dr. Rioux is a member of the Faculty of Medicine, Royal College of Physicians. Dr. Rioux received his Medical Education at Faculte de Medecine Pitie-Salpetriere, his Ph.D in Mathematical Statistics at Faculte des Sciences, and his Degree of Pharmacology (pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacology) at Faculte de Medecine Pitie-Salpetriere.
