He has been the Chairman of Net 1 Ueps Technologies Inc. since February 2003 and also its Director since May 1997. He serves as a Director of MediKredit Integrated Healthcare Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Dr. Belamant also serves on the board of a number of other companies that are closely related to the smart card business. He has been a Director of Aplitec. since June 1997. He served as Director of Net 1 Applied Technologies South Africa Limited from June 1997 to June 2004. Dr. Belamant holds Ph.D in Information Technology and Management.
