He served as Group Marketing and Trading Director of Safeway plc since May 2002. Prior to that, he worked at Tesco Stores Ltd. He left Safeway in 2004 at the conclusion of the Morrison's transaction. He has been a Director of Food Marketing Institute since January 2009. Mr. Sinclair serves as a Non-Executive Director of McCurrachs and Los Bodegas. Mr. Sinclair serves as President of Caravan, the charitable organization which assists needy retired members of the grocery trade. He served as a Director of Safeway plc. Mr. Sinclair holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
