He was the Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004. Mr. Mittal is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, MA, USA. He has been conferred the degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) by the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. He graduated from Punjab University in India in 1976.
