His responsibilities have included developing and executing business and clinical strategy, negotiating product licensing agreements, and leading fundraising efforts. Dr. Maida has nearly a decade of financial experience, primarily as a Senior Financial Controller of a $1.7 billion division of Lockheed Missiles and Space Company and as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of a Lockheed operating company. Dr. Maida founded BioConsul Drug Development Corporation and served as its Chairman. He serves on the Advisory Board of Innovera Life Sciences Fund. He serves as a Director of Sagamore Bioventures and the Scientific Advisory Board of EndPoint Ventures. He has been a Director of Stevia First Corp since March 16, 2012; OncoSec Medical Incorporated since June 21, 2011, Sirion Holdings, Inc since January 10, 2007 and Spectrum Pharmaceuticals Inc. since December 2003. He served as a Director of Sirion Therapeutics, Inc., and GlycoMetrix, Inc. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Association of Immunologists, American Chemical Society, Society of Toxicology, and Society of Neuro-Oncology, among others. He holds a number of patents and patent applications associated with various therapeutic modalities and approaches. Dr. Maida holds a Bachelor in Biology from the San Jose State University and a Bachelor in History from the University of Santa Clara. He holds a Master's in Toxicology from the San Jose State University, where he was the recipient of Gary Baker Award for Outstanding Achievement and received an MBA from the University of Santa Clara. Mr. Maida received a PhD in Tumor Immunology from the University of California, Davis in 2010.
