He currently serves on the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association's Private Client Services Committee as co-chairman and sits on the Regional Firms Committee. His other professional memberships include, the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Louisville Society of Financial Analysts. His credentials include serving as treasurer and vice chair of the Metropolitan YMCA of Greater Louisville, serving on the Planned Giving Committee of the Louisville chapter of the American Red Cross and as past president of the Pendennis Club of Louisville. He served as Board Chairman of the YMCA of Greater Louisville. He is the current Board Chairman of the Jefferson County Public Education Foundation, a board member of the Fund for the Arts (Executive Committee), a member of the Downtown Development Corporation Board of Directors (Executive Committee), a trustee of the Louisville Collegiate School, and a member of the Board of Overseers at the University of Louisville, the advisory board for the University of Louisville School of Business and the Dean's Advisory Council for the Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University. He also serves on the boards of the Jefferson County Public School and Louisville Zoo foundations. Mr. Allen holds a B.A. in Economics from DePauw University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Ohio State University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
