He was the Vice President of Marketing and Sales at IBM Microelectronics where he assisted in developing the unit's global merchant market sales strategy and gained 20 years of experience in the Greater China as the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer at Changsha Consulting. From 1988 through 1995, Mr. Parker held various positions at Digital Equipment Corporation including serving as the Director of Product Management and Marketing at Digital's Personal Computer division. He was also instrumental in Digital’s first Intel-Microsoft-based PC’s developed in its Taiwan research and development center. Mr. Parker’s experience in China goes back to 1980 when he taught American History and English at Changsha Railway Institute in Changsha, Hunan Province. Subsequently, he spent five years living and working in Beijing, China as a Consultant. Mr. Parker serves on the Board of Directors at the Greater China Business Council of New England, Ultizen Games as well as the boards of several private technology companies. He is also a Board Member at Wireless China, Inc. and C9 Media Inc. Mr. Parker speaks Mandarin Chinese and travels frequently to China on business. He holds an M.B.A. in International Finance from Northeastern University, Boston and a B.A. in chinese history from Hobart College, Geneva. Mr. Parker has also completed Chinese language training at Harvard University.
