Background

Mr. Rafael Pastor serves as the President of Sonenshine Partners. Mr. Pastor served as the Chairman of Vistage International, Inc. since 2004 and as its Chief Executive Officer from 2004 to March 31, 2013. Mr. Pastor served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hoyts Cinemas Corporation; President of USA Networks International; Executive Vice President, International, of News Corporation and then Fox International; and President of CBS/Fox Video International. ... Mr. Pastor has been a key participant in a broad range of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, joint ventures, start-ups, and financings. Examples include: the sale of CBS Records to Sony; the sale by CBS of cable-channel interests to Cablevision; the sale by CBS/Fox of video duplication facilities to McAndrews and Forbes; the restructurings of CBS/Fox Video; the acquisitions by News Corporation of an interest in Grupo Zeta (Spain), Mai Nap and Reform newspapers (Hungary), and Star-TV (Hong Kong and Asia); the establishment of Fox Latin America Channel, USA Network Latin America, Sci-Fi Channel Europe, and USA Network Brazil; and the sale of USA Networks International to Seagram’s Universal Studios. He Co-founded Sonenshine Pastor and Co., a New York-based investment banking firm, and its private equity affiliate SP Capital. Mr. Pastor started his career as an attorney, first at the Wall Street law firm of Hawkins, Delafield and Wood and then practiced law as Associate General Counsel at CBS, where he worked on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, takeover defenses and international joint ventures. Mr. Pastor serves as Director of Vistage International and also serves on the boards of several not-for-profit institutions, and is multilingual. Mr. Pastor serves as Member of the Advisory Board of Sonenshine Partners. Mr. Pastor is Chairman of RosettaBooks and the Documentary Film Network. He is also a Board member and Vice President of the International League for Human Rights, a Board member of the Jerusalem Foundation, Inc., a Board member of the Double Take Documentary Film Festival, and an Associate of the International Council of Television Arts and Sciences. Mr. Pastor holds a BA from Columbia University and a JD from the New York University School of Law.
