Dr. Michael P. Schulhof, Ph.D. serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Commercial Electronics Capital Partnership. Dr. Schulhof serves as the Managing Director of Global Technology Investments. Dr. Schulhof serves as the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Founding Partner, and General Partner at GTI Group LLC. He started GTI Group in 1996. Dr. Schulhof is the Founder of J2Global (eFax) and CBS Sportsline. He is a private investor in the media, communications, ... and entertainment industry. Dr. Schulhof held various positions at Sony Corporation of America, Inc. and most served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sony America and Sony Media and Entertainment from June 1993 to January 1996. He joined Sony in 1968 and rose to senior management in 1979. In 1989, Dr. Schulhof was named to Sony's Board of Directors, becoming the first American on the Board of Japanese Corporation. He is credited with transforming Sony's U.S. operations into a global entertainment company. During Dr. Schulhof’s 25 years at Sony, he had responsibility for Sony Electronics; Sony Software Corporation including Columbia and Tristar Pictures, Inc., CBS Records, as well as the electronic publishing, and signatures divisions; and Sony Retail Entertainment including theatres and location-based entertainment centers across the United States. Dr. Schulhof has been a Director of J2 Global, Inc. since 1997. He has been a Director of SportsLine.com, Inc. since November 1997. Dr. Schulhof serves as a Director at SportsLine.com, Inc. and ColdWatt. He serves on the Boards of several companies and charitable organizations including Air Works, Glori Energy, Inc., Nova Medical Centers, J2Com, American Hospital of Paris Foundation, the Brookings Institution, New York University Medical Center, and Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University. Dr. Schulhof is also a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Investment and Services Policy Advisory Committee to the United States Trade Representative. He is a Trustee of Brandeis University, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, New York University Medical Center, and an Honorary Trustee at the Brookings Institution. Dr. Schulhof is a very experienced pilot with dual ATP ratings. He is a solid-state Physicist with 27 published papers and one patent to his credit. Dr. Schulhof received the Chevalier de la Legion D'Honneur by the French Republic. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Brandeis University, an M.A. from the Cornell University, and a BS. from the Grinnell College.
