Background

Mr. Clinton P. Harris, Clint, is a Founder and Managing Partner at Grove Street Advisors, LLC. He co-founded the firm in 1998. Beyond his roles in the management of the firm, Mr. Harris shares a leadership role with seven clients. He leads investments across all sectors but with a particular focus on mid-size United States buyouts, growth equity, technology venture capital, and working with emerging managers. Mr. Harris also leads the firm’s investments in Israel and ... is an active Member of the firm’s fund investment team in China. He is also an Advisor at Favonius Ventures. He has spent 25 years in private equity and has expertise globally across private equity, particularly buyouts, growth equity and venture capital. Prior to this, Mr. Harris was the Founder and Managing Director at Advent International. During his 14 year tenure there, he designed and raised more than $800 million in capital for a broad range of dedicated investment programs for both corporate and institutional investors Advent grew to become one of the world's largest and most successful private equity firms operating both in the U.S. and internationally. Mr. Harris was also responsible for the establishment and support of a number of Advent's international investment affiliates. Mr. Harris has also played a prominent role in the development of Israel's venture capital industry. Starting in 1991, he led the firm's efforts that established Gemini as the first of the new Yozma funds. Mr. Harris helped Gemini raise its first two funds, bringing a number of important corporate and institutional investors into Israel for the first time, and helped to negotiate many of the key tax and regulatory issues that needed to be resolved in building a viable venture capital industry in Israel where he is a Director. Previously, he spent seven years as a Management Consultant and Partner at Bain and Company, where he helped establish its Japanese practice and opened its first office in Germany. Mr. Harris worked for five years as a Naval Officer serving on nuclear submarines. He also served as the Fund Manager at CalPERS. Mr. Harris currently serves on the Board of Apax (Israel), Carmel, and JVP. He is a Member of the Investment Advisory Board of the Trillium Group, LLC and a Member of the Advisory Board of Fletcher Spaght Ventures, LP; Vintage Venture Partners; and was a Member of the Advisory Board of Falconhead Capital LLC. Mr. Harris holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and an Undergraduate A.B. in Engineering degrees from Dartmouth College.
