He is currently a Director of Astral Brands, Inc., BioSante Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Premier Card Solutions, LLC, and Plastag Holdings, LLC. Mr. Morgenstern retired as the Chairman of the Oakmark Family of Funds in 2003. At the time of Mr. Morgenstern’s retirement from Oakmark in 2003, he managed in excess of $40 billion in equities including over $20 billion in the seven fund series of funds comprising Oakmark. Mr. Morgenstern was also a Director of NVEST, from 1996 to 2000. Mr. Morgenstern was Harris’ Chairman, from 1996 to 2000. He was the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Harris Associates Investment Trust and The Oakmark Family of Funds. Mr. Morgenstern also serves on the Board of Overseers of the Pritzker School of Bio Medical Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a Trustee of the Illinois Institute of Technology and member of the Board of Overseers of the Institute of Design. He was the Chairman of the Board of Overseers of the School of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology. He was admitted to the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars and the CCPA as a Patent Attorney prior to his entry into the investment business. Mr. Morgenstern holds a J.D. degree from American University Law School and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology.
