In addition, he acted for the Chairman in all aspects of the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System including participation in the Defense Resources Board. On April 22, 2005, President George W. Bush nominated General Pace to be the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He has been a Director of Textura Corporation since December 2012 and serves as Director of Tresys Technology LLC. He serves as a Director of AlienVault, LLC. He serves as a Member of Advisory Council of Business Executives for National Security. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board at Defense Finance and Accounting Service. He is a Graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds an M.B.A. from George Washington University. Mr. Pace is also a graduate of the Infantry Officers' Advanced Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, in Quantico, Virginia; and the National War College, at Ft. McNair, Washington, DC. He graduated from Teaneck High School in 1963 and received his commission in the Marines in June 1967.
