Background

Mr. Heinrich Meyr serves as Chief Scientist of CoWare Inc. Dr. Meyr was Co-founder of CADIS GmbH (acquired in 1993 by Synopsys), a company which commercialized tool suite COSSAP. He Co-founded LISATek Inc., which was acquired by CoWare in February 2003. He worked over 12 years in various research and management positions in industry before accepting Professorship in Electrical Engineering of Aachen University of Technology (RWTH Aachen) where he founded (and is now a ... co-director) the Institute for Integrated Signal Processing System (http://www.iss.rwth-aachen.de). He built this institute into one of the internationally-leading research institutions. During the last thirty years, he has worked extensively in areas of communication theory, digital signal processing and CAD tools for system-level design. He serves as Chairman and Member of Technical Advisory Board of CoWare Inc. He has been Director of laboratory for integrated signal processing systems of Germany's Aachen University of Technology since 1977. He serves as Director of ASCOM, a Swiss telecommunications and electronics company. He serves as a Director of CoWare Inc. He serves as a Member of Technical Advisory Board of Agility Design Solutions Inc. (formerly, Catalytic Inc.). He serves as Member of the Technical Advisory Board of Morphics Technology Inc. He served as a Director of Exide Technologies since February 2001. He served as a Member of Business Advisory Board of Dresden Silicon Gmbh. He has published numerous IEEE papers and holds many patents. He is a Fellow of IEEE and has received two IEEE best paper awards. In 2000, he was recipient of prestigious Vodafone prize for his outstanding contribution in the area of wireless communications. He holds MS and PhD from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
