Dr. Steinert is known worldwide for his expertise in cataract, refractive and corneal surgery. He served as the President of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS). Dr. Steinert is a Fellow and serves as an Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. He completed his residency at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. Dr. Steinert obtained AB from Harvard University in 1973 and M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1977.
