Mr. Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of First Republic of American Gaming Association since 1995. Mr. Fahrenkopf is the national advocate for the commercial casino industry. He is responsible for positioning the association to address regulatory, political and educational issues affecting the industry. Mr. Fahrenkopf was a Partner in the law firm of Hogan & Hartson. He cofounded the International Republican Institute in 1984. ... He serves as Co-Chairman of the Commission on Presidential Debates, which is responsible for the widely-viewed Presidential debates during the quadrennial election cycle. A Lawyer by profession, Mr. Fahrenkopf gained national prominence during the 1980s when he served as Chairman of the Republican Party for six of President Ronald Reagan's eight years in the White House (1983 to 1989). From 1983 to 1989, he served as Chairman of the Republican National Committee longer than any person in the 20th century (and second-longest in the history of the party) and led the party through two successful presidential campaigns in 1984 and 1988. He chaired the International Trade Practice Group. He served for many years as Chairman of the Pacific Democrat Union. He serves as a Vice Chairman of the International Democrat Union. Mr. Fahrenkopf served as the Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Culinary Institute of America and remains a member of the board. Mr. Fahrenkopf has been an Independent Trustee of GAMCO Global Gold, Natural Resources & Income Trust by Gabelli since February 2005.
