Ms. Stevens served as Group Vice President of business operations of Canada, Mexico and South America of Ford Motor Company, a holding company of Ford Motor Credit Company LLC from October 1, 2003 to October 2005. She served as Group Vice President of North America Vehicle Operations of Ford Motor Company since August 2001. She served as Vice President of North America Assembly Operations of Ford Motor Company from April 2001 to August 2001, and she was responsible for nearly thirty plants in Canada, Mexico and the United States and she delivered record improvements in quality and productivity. Ms. Stevens served various management positions at Ford Motor Company from 1990, including Executive Director in Vehicle Operations in North America. She served as a Manager of the Quality Services Department at the Division's Saline (Mich.) plant since 1992, and also served as Manufacturing Manager of Plastic and Trim Products Operations since 1995, and also as a Plant Manager at Ford's Enfield Plant in England, Ford's first female Plant Manager in Europe, as well as leading product development of Ford's European small cars. She also served as an Assistant Vehicle Line Director, Small Car Vehicle Center, for Ford Automotive Operations in Dunton, England since 1997, with responsibility of Fiesta, Ka and Puma vehicles. Ms. Stevens served as a Senior Leader in manufacturing since 1999 and served as Director of the Manufacturing Business Office for Ford in North America and also served as an Executive Director of North American Vehicle Operations for 15 months. She served various Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing positions for over ten years at Exxon Chemical Co. She has been Non-Executive Director of Anglo American plc since May 15, 2012. Ms. Stevens has been an Independent Director at Lockheed Martin Corporation since September 2002 and Carpenter Technology Corp., from November 1, 2006 to October 12, 2009. She serves as a Director of the UAW Family Service & Learning Center, and also serves as an Advisory Board Member of a Graduate Business Program at Northwestern University. She serves as a Trustee of Women's Automotive Association International and Drexel University. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Mexico Institute of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and is also a Member of the Council of Americas. She served at Shingo Prize Board of Governors. In 2000, Ms. Stevens received the prestigious Shingo Leadership Award. In 2003 she received the Eli Whitney Award from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. She was named a Member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2004 and also honored for a distinguished service citation from the Automotive Hall of Fame. Ms. Stevens has been named twice to Fortune magazine's list of "50 Most Powerful Women in Business," and Automotive News' list as a 2005 "Leading Woman in the North American Automotive Industry." She also named as one of Crain's Detroit Business's "Most Influential Women" and "Michigan's 95 Most Powerful Women" by Corp! magazine. She earned a BS in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from Drexel University and Post Graduate work at Rutgers University. Ms. Stevens received an honorary PhD in Communication Sciences from Central Michigan University.
