Raul R. Romero serves as Secretary of Hispanic Scholarship Fund. Mr. Romero serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Consulting Group, LLC, a marketing consulting group to public and private organizations, a position he has held since 2005. From 2002 to 2005, he served as Partner and President of S&B Infrastructure, Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of S&B Engineers and Constructors, Ltd., a privately held engineering, procurement and construction company. ... He also served as a Regional Representative and Vice Chairman of the Board for Lease of University Lands. He has been Chairman of the Board of Hispanic Scholarship Fund since April 2008. He serves as Director of U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He served as Director of Guaranty Financial Group Inc. from 2007 to August 25, 2008. In 1999, Mr. Romero was appointed to a six-year term on the University of Texas System Board of Regents by then Governor George W. Bush. He served until 2001, chaired that board's Special Committee on Minorities and Women, and served on the Academic Affairs Committee, Facilities Planning and Construction Committee and Special Committee on Telecommunications and Technology Transfer. He earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering with honors and a master's in civil/structural engineering with highest honors from Notre Dame, and attended the Harvard Business School Corporate Governance Program in 2005.
