Ms. Kim Pita is a Managing Principal of Pita Group. Ms. Pita has more than 20 years of experience as a research strategist, professional writer, editor, and public relations professional. She worked as a congressional press secretary, communications manager, and newspaper editor before starting the Pita Group in 1996. She serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Hartford Children's Theatre. She is on the board of directors of the Girl Scouts of Connecticut ... and is currently the visibility champion for the organization. She has been a Director of Connecticut Business And Industry Association, Inc. since December 1, 2010. She is a Member of the Public Relations Society of America, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Connecticut Women’s Council. She is past president and honorary director of Rebuilding Together Hartford and has served on the boards of the Rocky Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Communications Advisory Council of Foodshare. Ms. Pita was the recipient of the March of Dimes Connecticut Chapter 1997 Rookie Volunteer of the Year award and was named to the “40 under 40” list by the Hartford Business Journal in 1999. She was honored with an Alumni Achievement Award from her alma mater in 2006. Ms. Pita has a B.S. in media communications and journalism from Framingham State College.
