Mr. Matthew C. Harris serves as a Partner of Global Infrastructure Partners. Mr. Harris leads its energy and waste industry investment team globally. Mr. Harris is a mergers and acquisitions specialist, having worked on over 150 merger and acquisition transactions during his career including sell side advisory, buy side advisory, mergers of equals, recapitalizations, restructurings, and going private transactions aggregating in total in excess of $150 billion. During ... this time, he has worked on many significant transactions, both advisory and financing, in the energy and waste infrastructure sectors in the United States, Western Europe, Russia and the former Soviet Union, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Prior to the formation of the firm, Mr. Harris was a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Department at Credit Suisse. Most recently he was the Co-Head of the Global Energy Group and Head of the EMEA Emerging Markets Group. Prior to this, Mr. Harris was a senior member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group and served as the Co-Head of Americas Merger and Acquisitions. Previously, he was a senior member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Kidder Peabody & Co. Incorporated. Mr. Harris has been a Director of Chesapeake Midstream GP L L C, the General Partner of Access Midstream Partners, L.P. since January 2010. He serves as a Director of Biffa, Ltd, Ruby Pipeline Holding Company LLC, Chesapeake Midstream Partners, LLC, and East India Petroleum Limited. Mr. Harris holds a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of California at Los Angeles.
