Mr. William J. Devers is the President at Devers Private Equity Ventures. He co founded the firm. Mr. Devers has been the Chairman at Devers Private Equity Ventures since 1983. He grew the firm to $75 million in revenue employing about 700, financed solely with his own capital and commercial bank lines. Mr. Devers was one of two people who started Trans Union Credit Information Company in the late 1960's. He left the firm in 1983 and started Devers Group, Inc. as a vehicle ... for his private investments. Since 1983, Mr. Devers has bought and sold over 20 software concerns, including sales to EDS, Digital Equipment Corporation, DBS Systems, and more. In his early years, Mr. Devers worked for IBM and Honeywell. In 1968, he was given the opportunity to start a new business venture with the financial support of Trans Union Corporation, automating consumer credit records in order to provide computerized credit reports to consumer credit grantors. Mr. Devers serves as the Chairman of the Board of Global Turnkey Systems, Inc. and Network Computing Corporation. He has been a Director of Click Commerce Inc. Since June 2003 and serves as a Member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Devers has been a Director of Wallace Computer Services, Inc. since April 17, 2000 and is a Member of Compensation and Chairman of Technology Committees. He serves on the Boards of Directors for Azar Nut Company, Global Turnkey Systems, Inc., Lexington Software Associates, Big Shoulders Fund, and Schwarz Paper Company. He is Member of Board of Investors of Merrick Ventures, LLC. Mr. Devers is a Director at Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital. In addition, he serves on Advisory Boards at Pennsylvania State University, University of Notre Dame, and Catholic Charities of Chicago, and is a Trustee of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Mr. Devers is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
