Background

Mr. Plinio Ayala has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Per Scholas, Inc. since November 2003. Mr. Ayala has over twenty years of experience in non-profit management and workforce development. Previously, he served as Vice President of Operations with oversight of all production, manufacturing and reconditioning operations. He previously served as Director of Program Operations at SOBRO. He was Chief Program Officer at Jobs for Youth from 1988 to 1993 ... prior to SOBRO. He serves as a Director of Per Scholas, Inc. Mr. Ayala designed the original Per Scholas computer training program. Mr. Ayala has received several of awards including the Liberty Award issued by the NY Post, the Citation of Merit delivered by the Bronx Borough President and a number of other recognitions for his work in the NYC community.  Mr. Ayala has facilitated and participated in a number of national summits regarding workforce development and digital literacy. Mr. Ayala graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelors Degree in American Studies.
