Prior to joining NeoCarta Ventures, Dr. Levy worked at SOFTBANK Venture Capital, focusing on investments in early stage technology companies and assisting them with ongoing strategic business development initiatives. She held several executive level positions at early stage technology companies and served as Vice President of Corporate Development of SoftBook Press (acquired by Gemstar International in 1999) and Vice President of Corporate Development of WhoWhere (acquired by Lycos in 1998). Prior to joining WhoWhere, Dr. Levy worked at Apple Computer in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, at Paul Allen's Interval Research, and at Price Waterhouse in the Technology Core Consulting Practice. In addition to working with startups and venture capital firms, she served as the Director of Industry Collaboration and Research of Media X (a campus-wide network at Stanford University which fosters partnerships between companies, faculty and students), and served as a Network Advisor of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. Dr. Levy served as Deputy Chair, Global Health of the Clinton Global Initiative since 2007. She serves as a Member of Board of Advisors at Tungle Corporation. She serves as Member of the Advisory Board of Browster, Inc. She serves as Director of Industry Collaboration and Research for MediaX Program of Stanford University. She serves on the Advisory Board of Stanford's MediaX program which unifies the technology design initiatives across the university and ties them to industry and corporate partners. She is a Member of Industry Advisory Board of resolute.vc. She serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors of Buysight, Inc. and Progress Financial Corporation. Her advisory relationships have included startup advisory boards (SynCHEnergy; Progress Financial; CareerCore; WeeWorld; TrustedID; Evite), non-profit boards (Social Science Research Council; Business Innovation Factory), universities (USC Stevens Institute for Innovation; UC Santa Cruz College 8), and entrepreneurship organizations (TiE). She received her B.S. from the University of Michigan, and completed both her M.A. and Ph.D. at Stanford University in Cognitive Psychology, specializing in Human Computer Interaction and Information Management.
