As a volunteer while working for Starwave, Mr. LeFurgy was elected IAB Chairman and Director for five consecutive years from 1996 to 2001. He has also personally invested in over 15 early stage investments focused on online advertising and helped to establish the association's governance, vision, mission, and structure; developed the first voluntary banner size standards, and helped institute the industry's benchmark revenue report with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He served as Member of Advisory Board at Anchor Intelligence, Inc. and Baymark Technologies, Inc. Mr. LeFurgy has long been recognized as one of interactive industry's leaders, and was awarded the Interactive Advertising Bureau's first Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004 and was inducted in Ad Age’s Interactive Hall of Fame. He is also USA Today called Rich the “Johnny Appleseed of online advertising. Mr. LeFurgy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from Syracuse University.
