Dr. Teh Kok Peng, Ph.D. serves as the Advisor to the Group Executive Committee and Chairman of the China Business Group, GIC. Dr. Peng served as the President of GIC Special Investments Pte Ltd from April 1999 to June 2011. Before that, Dr. Peng served as Deputy Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Deputy Managing Director of GIC. He began his career at the World Bank and worked there for six years, from 1975 to 1981. He serves as a Member of ... the International Advisory Board at Russian Direct Investment Fund. He serves as a Board Member of the National University of Singapore, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the Urban Redevelopment Authority, OCBC Bank, and the China International Capital Corporation, and is a member of the Trilateral Commission. Dr. Peng obtained first class honors in Economics at La Trobe University and a doctorate in Economics at Nuffield College, Oxford University.
