Mr. Edward J. Zander, Ed served as the Chief Executive Officer of Motorola Electronics Taiwan Ltd., since January 2004. Mr. Zander had played a key role in shaping some of the major paradigm shifts in technology that impact the world today, which include the move from mainframes to minicomputers; minicomputers to workstations; PCs to networking and to the Internet; hardware to software; and the revolution in wireless devices and mobility. He served as an Advisor of Totus-Solutions, ... Inc. since 2009. Mr. Zander served as an Advisor of Motorola Solutions, Inc. (formerly Motorola Inc.) since May 2008 and its Chief Executive Officer from December 16, 2003 to January 2008. Prior to Motorola Inc., he served as a Managing Director of Silver Lake (alternate name is Silver Lake Partners) since September 2003. Mr. Zander served as a Principal at Silver Lake Partners from July 2003 to January 2004. He has more than 35 years of expertise in the computer business, including an extensive experience in engineering, marketing and executive management. He served as the President at Oracle America, Inc. He ran Sun's day-to-day business operations including: system products, storage products, software products and platforms, enterprise services, network service provider services, iPlanet, Sun's alliance with AOL's Netscape division, research and development including the office of the Chief Technology Officer, customer advocacy and worldwide manufacturing, purchasing, marketing and sales operations. Prior to joining Sun in October 1987 as Vice President of corporate marketing, Mr. Zander served in senior marketing management positions at Apollo Computer Systems Inc. and Data General Corporation. He served as the Vice President of Marketing for Apollo Computer, Inc., where he developed marketing strategies for the emerging workstation industry. He has been the Chairman of Motorola Electronics Taiwan Ltd., since December 16, 2003. He served as the Chairman of Motorola Inc., from December 16, 2003 to May 5, 2008. He has been a Director of Seagate Technology Public Limited Company since March 5, 2009. Mr. Zander has been a Director of Netezza Corporation since April 2002, NetSuite Inc., since June 23, 2009 and Motorola Electronics Taiwan Ltd. since December 16, 2003.
