Dr. Gregory M. Papadopoulos, Greg, Ph.D. has been a Venture Partner at New Enterprise Associates since April 4, 2011. Dr. Papadopoulos’ team leads Sun Labs, the Sun Science Office, the DARPA High Performance Computing Systems program, global engineering architecture, and advanced development programs. During his tenure with the firm, he held several positions, including the Vice President of Technology and Advanced Development for its systems business, Chief Scientist for server systems engineering, and Chief Scientist for enterprise servers and storage. Previously, he served as a Senior Architect and Director of Product Strategy for Thinking Machines Corp. He co-founded PictureTel, Ergo, and Exa Corporation. He served as an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he conducted research in scalable systems, multithreaded/data flow processor architecture, functional and declarative languages, and fault-tolerant computing, and was a Development Engineer at Hewlett-Packard and Honeywell. He serves as Trustee of Computer History Museum, The. He serves as a Member of Technical Advisory Board of T-RAM Semiconductor Inc. (formerly T-ram, Inc.). He is also an active advisor for the schools of engineering at University of California, San Diego; University of California, Berkeley; MIT and San Jose State. He also serves on the UC President's Board for Science and Innovation, and serves as a Trustee at SETI Institute. He serves as a Director of GraphLab Inc. Dr. Papadopoulos holds an M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from M.I.T and a B.A. in Systems Science from the University of California at San Diego.
