Mr. Ricketts has advised: the Singapore Public Utilities Board on the first ever seawater desalination plant for Singapore and its fourth NEWater plant located in Ulu Pandan; the National Environmental Agency on the proposed DBOO for a waste incinerator plant in Singapore; the former Western Power Corporation on all aspects of their regional procurement process; the Water Corporation of Western Australia on various outsourcing arrangements; the City of Mandurah on the outsourcing of total waste management stream services, and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder on the long term outsourcing of landfill and waste management facilities. Mr. Ricketts has advised: Adviser to Argyle Diamond Mines on the proposed underground expansion of the Argyle project; the Port of Melbourne Corporation on the Port of Melbourne Channel Deepening Project and the Water Corporation of Western Australia in relation to: the South West Yarragadee Aquifer Project; the Perth Metropolitan Desalination Project; seawater and desalination facilities on the Burrup Peninsula; land acquisition and construction issues for the Harvey Dam, the Upgrade of the Woodman Point, Beenyup and Subiaco Wastewater Treatment Plants; Main Roads Western Australia on the: Great Eastern Highway Tammin to Walgoolan Project; Karratha Tom Price Road Stage 2 Project; Roe Highway Stage 7 Project, and extension of the Kwinana Freeway and the former Western Power Corporation in connection with the Kwinana Combined Cycle Power Station Project. Mr. Ricketts has advised on: the restructures of the Western Australian water and energy industries, and the legislative restructure of the Regional Port Authorities and Port operations in Western Australia. He practises as a commercial lawyer with particular experience in government, industry restructure, major infrastructure projects and general contractual and commercial matters. Mr. Ricketts was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1990, the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia in 1991. Mr. Ricketts graduated from the University of Western Australia with degrees of Bachelor of Jurisprudence (Honours) in 1988 and Bachelor of Laws in 1989. He has a Masters of Laws (Distinction) from the University of Western Australia.
