Mark F. Witcher Ph.D. serves as a Member of Development Advisory Board of Biolex Incorporated. Dr. Witcher currently serves as a Consultant in biopharmaceutical operations to international biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. His previous positions included Vice President of Manufacturing for MERIX Bioscience, Inc. and Senior Vice President of Manufacturing Operations for Covance Biotechnology Services (now Diosynth RTP, Inc.). Dr. Witcher joined Amgen in 1986 ... and served in various technical and operations positions culminating in Vice President of Manufacturing from 1992 to 1995. While at Amgen, Dr. Witcher oversaw the scale-up and worldwide manufacture of Epogen and Neupogen. Earlier in his career, Dr. Witcher held supervisory and project management positions at Diamond Shamrock Corporation. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Dr. Witcher contributes extensive expertise in state-of-the-art therapeutic protein manufacture under GMP conditions.
