He worked at AT&T Bell ... Laboratories from 1986 to 1992 in the areas of telecom switches and intelligent networks. From 1992 to 1996, he worked at Korea Telecom in diverse positions such as Director of PCS Laboratory, Director of Research Management, Director of Standards in Information Technology, etc. From 1996 to 1999, he worked as chairman at the Department of Communication at the Sejong University. Since 1999, he has been with SK Telecom as CIO, Director of Business Transformation, and Chief Technology Officer. He graduated from Seoul National University with a major in electronic engineering, and graduated from University of Michigan in the US with a major in computer science.
