Mr. William C. Montgomery, Bill serves as Managing Director at Quantum Energy Partners. Mr. Montgomery is responsible for originating and overseeing investments in the oil and gas upstream, midstream, and oilfield service sectors. Prior to Quantum, Mr. Montgomery was a Partner in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he headed its Natural Resources Group as well as its Houston office. Mr. Montgomery served as a Co-Chief Operating Officer of Natural ... Resources and Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division's Southwest Region of Goldman, Sachs & Co. He joined Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division as a Managing Director in 2000 and was its Partner since 2002. Mr. Montgomery's career as a Banker spanned 22 years and was focused on large cap energy companies primarily in the upstream and oil service sectors. He advised on several landmark mergers and acquisitions in those sectors to leading efforts for his clients to raise an estimated $20 billion in equity capital. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Montgomery served as Managing Director and Co-Head of the United States Energy Practice at Merrill Lynch. He served as a Member of Investment Banking Services Leadership Group at Goldman. Mr. Montgomery serves as the Chairman of Houston Museum of Natural Science and St Francis Episcopal Day School. He serves as a Director of Greater Houston Partnership and Gulf Coast Energy Resources, LLC. He has been a Director of Apache Corp. of Apache Offshore Investment Partnership since September 20, 2011 and Mariner Energy, Inc., since September 2011. Mr. Montgomery serves as a Trustee at St. Luke's Episcopal Health System. He serves on numerous Boards, including the St. Martin's Episcopal Church, and the Sam Houston Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a Trustee of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, and The Kinkaid School. Mr. Montgomery is an active Civic Leader. He received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a B.B.A. from the University of Texas.
