He serves as the Chairman of Innovative Spinal Technologies Inc. Mr. Thomas has been a Director of Abiomed Inc. since June 1, 2011 and Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc since August 1, 2011. He serves as a Director of Roka Bioscience, Inc. He served as a Director of BioNJ Inc. Mr. Thomas served as a Director of Orthovita Inc., from July 27, 2007 to July 27, 2011. He served as an Executive Director of LifeCell Corporation from October 1998 to May 2008. He served as an Independent Outside Director of Avanir Pharmaceuticals since March 17, 2005. Mr. Thomas received his MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, and completed his postgraduate studies in chemistry at the University of Georgia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
